British Muslims Today

Today, around 50% of all British Muslims are 25 years or younger, this emerging generation need pathways to a confident and prosperous future.

This event will bring together visionary leaders, thinkers, and changemakers from diverse backgrounds – united to lead change together.

LEADING CHANGE FOR BRITISH MUSLIMS

"How do Muslims in Britain fair in society today?"

With a growing population in diversity and numbers, we are still seeing a rise in trends of hate crime, islamophobia and long-standing issues of social deprivation.

This session will cover what work we need to do, to tackle the critical issues facing British Muslims, considering our economic contribution and political, social and cultural capital.

“2 in 5 of all religious hate crime offences (3,452 offences) were targeted against Muslims”

(Home Office, March 2023)

LEADING CHANGE WITH BRITISH MUSLIMS COMMUNITIES

Do our institutions reflect the changing face of our diverse population, equipped to meet the challenges of our time?

This session will consider what we need to do to enhance our institutions with key insights on leading best practice and good governance across our organisations.

Muslim communities make up around 3.9 million of the population, our institutions must be fit for purpose.

LEADING CHANGE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

Given such a young demographic, it is now to elevate young voices, who should be given the space and opportunity to succeed. The conference will bring together young voices, already leading the conversation.

Around 50% of Muslims in the UK are under the age of 25 years”

(Census, 2021)
